is there anyway to hook up my uncles old dell all in one printer with his new ibook, we got everything done and now we can't find support for mac, or any drivers

is there anything like a generic drive that i can use, even just for the print feature....

thanks...

Dell printers are Lexmark. That might give you a good starting point.

In general, yes, anything that works with Lexmark should work with an equivalent Dell printer. But don't expect to get all the "all in one" functions to work properly without a real OS X driver. There aren't a lot of non-Apple-specifically-compatible all-in-ones that work with Macs, and it's all in the lack of good drivers.

You could cut your driver search time by searching for the Dell model number and "Lexmark." That should show you which Lexmark model the unit you have is equivalent to.

Many of them are/were, but I think some are another brand... if only I could remember the other brand.
