The promouse seems alright, except that sometimes , the pointer gets stuck on the screen or jumps to another part of the screen. when i try to move it to the other side of the screen fast, itdosent move instead it seems as though the pointer is stuck on one side of the screen. is this a universal problem ?

Try using it on a different surface. Optical mice work by taking thousands of pictures of the surface they are on per second, and compare the frames to discern movement. If a surface has a pattern that is too repetitive, they can get confused at high speeds.
