Hi everyone,

I am rather new to these forums so I hope I put this in the right place. For boxing day, I eyed the Acomdata E5 250gb external HD for 129.99 CAD at my local Futureshop. I was amazed at that price. I purchased 2 as they were about to be sold out.

However, the deal isn't quite as sweet as I had imagined. I checked out a lot of online reviews of Acomdata peripherals (as I had never heard of them before) and they seem to be marked quite poorly in terms of customer support as well as durability.

Has anyone had any experience with the Acomdata E5 external HD's or with any Acomdata HD products?

There was a Western Digital 250gb 7200rpm for 99CAD so i might just go buy that and get an enclosure. But if this Acomdata HD is good enough, I'd rather not wait in line to return it, buy another HD and go to a different shop to buy an enclosure!
