Does anyone else have a Keyspan Digital Media Remote and trys to use it with iTunes? When I launch iTunes it freezes when the DMR is running. Does anyone know if there are any fixes for this and when Keyspan is making a software update? I bought the DMR to run iTunes, but so far it's been a lot of trouble.

I haven't heard of a fix yet. The DMR software is so buggy, I usually only connect it as needed.

From what I've read, the problem is that iTunes scans for a USB MP3 player on launch, and the DMR freezes the scanning process for some reason. The only fix I've heard of is unplugging the DMR and then connecting it once iTunes has loaded.

I noticed some extra extensions when i installed iTunes. since i don't have any of those mp3 players, i disabled the extensions (these are reported as part of the iTunes package):

Nomad II USB Driver 6,566 bytes 1.18 ndrv usbd
Nomad MG USB Driver 6,566 bytes 1.18 ndrv usbd
Nomad USB Shim 20,621 bytes 1.18 ndrv usbs
NomadJukeboxLib 27,427 bytes 1.0.5 shlb cfrg
USBNomadJukeboxDriver 8,038 bytes 1.0.5 ndrv usbd
USBRioDriver 29,034 bytes 3.1 ndrv usbd
USBSoundSpace2Driver 7,839 bytes 1.1 ndrv usbd

I don't have the Keyspan remote but if the iTunes searching for these devices over teh USB port is causing the lockups and you have none of these then try disabling and let us know if it helps!

I had the same issue. If you update to the newest version of itunes this issue goes away and it works great.

I agree, though I can't seem to get iTunes to launch from the remote and have it work properly.
