I am in charge of buying a new printer for our graphic media department at a small private college. I need something that will be high quality and high volume. We have an HP 8550N elsewhere on campus, but I was wondering if anyone had experiences with other printers that they liked. We will need to have dual platform capabilities and at least 11 x 17 print capabilities. Money is of only slight concern, right now I am just doing my homework.

You should check out the Tekronix (Xerox now) Phaser 790.... incredible quality, and pretty fast for a 13 x18 printer...
