Is there a way--or a compelling reason not to--take apart an Apple Pro Mouse? Mine seems to have a short in the cord where it attaches to the mouse. Will function minimally when the cord is wiggled around, but two-handed mousing is not terribly productive. Since it is toast as it is, thought i may as well try to fix it... if only i can get the lil' critter apart.

Also, my Wacom Graphire suddenly stopped working. Reloaded drivers and tried it on all the Macs in the house. Seems it may be a power problem, since the "on" light does not appear when it is connected. Not worth the price of formal repairs, but if anyone has experience with this and could offer a quick fix, maybe i could actually get my project done.

Ever grateful.
