I'm interested in finding out if you can add a PCI network card to a G3/G4 and use both the built-in network connection and the PCI-network connection at the same time.
The main reason I ask is to see whether it is possible to use a Mac as the gateway for a cable network. Basically, I'm trying to get a cable Internet connection to use one of the ports and to use the other port as a link to the rest of the network (ie, straight into a hub). If this is possible, what software should be used to manage this and under what OS can it be done?
I'd appreciate any help you can give me.
