Here is the problem. A Canon i865 USB printer is given, which is connected to network router. There are a few other PCs connecting to this router, which can print to the Canon printer.

The Mac is also connected to the router, but I cannot figure out how to configure it. The PCs use LPR printing, which I could set up in the Printer Utility, but when I select LPR printing, the Canon driver does not show up in the list.

The driver was in fact downloaded and installed from Canon's website. When I just hook the printer up to the Mac and select USB printing the driver is in the list, but it is missing when I select LP printing. Any ideas on how to make the driver appear in that list?

Thanks,

t
