Buying my first burner and I am looking for feedback on the Boa 12-10-32... other than that it is big. Thanks in advance.

I used it for months without a hitch. Never burnt a coaster.

One of the best drives out there, in my opinion. Yes, it's big, but I dig the covered front cover.

Baldy,
i got me a Boa Pro-Mar 12x10x32, and I love it. Comes with Toast standard, so I bought deluxe cause I needed the extra features. Burns fast - no coasters. It'll only burn audio at 4x, so if you want really fast audio cd duplications, look elsewhere. Also includes "burn-proof" technology which allows multi tasking while burning.
Customer support is also excellent.
I recommend it, though, Misha's right, it is somewhat large. 10.75"x8.5"x2.75"

Has anyone had any driver problems? I have the 8-4-32 firewire, and while the drive itself is great, the drivers are horrid.

I'm using toast deluxe 4.1.2 with the latest apple firewire extensions, and the only way it will recognize the drive is if I use ezq's fire-scsi extensions (combining versions 1.5 and 1.6), which I had to hunt down on their website. And I have to disable other things, like anything related to multiple users. And hot-swapping rarely works (the machine has to be rebooted with the drive on). Which is good because the extensions add literally a minute to my boot time if the drive is not powered on.

Any similar experiences, or better yet, suggestions?

papercut,
The newest update for those extensions is 1.6.2. There are three FireSCSI, and EZ FireWire support ver. 3.1.1, as well as two apple FireWire extensions ver. 2.7(OS 9.1)
I also have hook up problems, and leave the device unattached when not in use.
If you have iTunes 1.1 installed, Toast will not recognize the Boa(actually a Teac drive) here's the current solution, at least until FireWire 2.8 comes out: http://til.info.apple.com/techinfo.nsf/artnum/n60805
