in display of true "excellence" of customer service quantum (snap servers aka snap appliances) are continuing to ignore my pleads for help with their product.
In short - since the most recent software update (3.0.0) the server behaves erratically giving dreadly "protection fault #13" - whatever that means and the server JUST PLAIN HANGS UP.
So hear ya - if you have not done so - do not upgrade to 3.0.0 - wait for 3.0.1 or even later - the added benefits will be nullified by constant hanging and quite possible (sure) data loss.
As far as I have determined the fault might be MacOs 8.6 clients - looks like I will be in process of upgrading them up to 9.
Please also note that the support staff for Snap server is the most unresposive one coming close only to Accom.
