This is a repost from a different category (about RtCW for Mac)..It fit better here...

I'd like to know what I can do about upgrading my current video card...I've got a stock Rage128/16MB, but I absolutely love the Radeon 8500 Mac Ed. Thing is, I've got a 17'' Apple CRT with an ADC connector. What can I do about it besides get a new monitor if I get the new Radeon? They have ADC->DVI connectors for the *flat panel* monitors that use digital signals, but shouldn't they also have ADC->VGA adapters for the CRT's with analog signals? If such a magical device existed, it'd leave the DVI conn. free for a second monitor, too (LCD at that). Any ideas? (...make my own adapter? :-P )

I think that what you could use is the DVI to ADC, from dr bott, the only thing its like 100 bucks

They're only for use with Apple's flat panel LCD's with the ADC connector :-(

after digging around the site i found this which states that it won't work with the 17 CRT. I don't know why it would be any differnt. ADC is ADC right?

!!!!!! The Gefen ADC to VGA adapter I need is $399! I may was well buy a flat panel for that price...I wonder if I can find a pinout for an ADC connector..
