I have an iMac DV SE 500mhz with 256mb ram. I also have a Que 12x10x32x firewire drive with Toast 4.1.1 Deluxe. I can easily burn mp3's and data at 12x, but I cannot copy audio cds faster than 2x!
The reason for this is because the cd/dvd-rom drive does not spin the cd fast enough to read the information so it can be transfered to the Que drive. Does anyone else expierence this problem and or know how to fix it?
Wait, are you able to duplicate data cds at full speed successfully? And it also happens that sometimes the cd itself is not good and cannot be read at great speeds. Maybe try a disc copy rather than burn an audio cd, see if that helps...
Yes, I can copy data cd's at full speed fine. But ANY audio cd I try does not work at anything faster than 2 speed. I tried to copy the Audio cd as a data cd, but Toast would not let me do that...
