I just bought a new iSight and I first tried it on my brother's iMac G5 where everything worked fine. Now when I try it on my own powermac G5 the sound does not work. In fact the built-in microphone does not even appear in the preferences as an input device. I have tried all suggestions on Apple's support site but cannot find an answer. Has anybody had a similar problem or is there anybody who knows what the problem might be. I am quite reluctant to reinstall my OS and I have a hard time believing it is a problem with my iSight. Another thing I notice is that when I plug in the isight the green light is on for 5 sec and then makes a small noise and then the green light goes off. I only get the green light back when I go into iChat and turn the video on.
Also isight latest update does not work with OS X 10.4? Is this correct?
