Well, it seems to get the job done but is damn ugly
just called waterfield designs (sfbags.com). Their units will be out end of december. Some kind of new mesh material, and several colors. They sound a lot nicer, though I expect them to be more expensive, and I dont want to wait to have my ipod get scratched.... hmm
we'll see... he said photo shoot next week on those at sfbags.com

the verdict is that that sleeve makes a beautiful product straight up nasty looking!
iPod in my pocket has worked for me since Nov 10 and while it has it's share of scratches, I don't mind.. As long as it plays my music and continues to make me love using it, I don't care...

crap....it's what they could do in the limited amount of time. they didn't take anytime to think about it. i would never get one......for me, the looks matter, but you have ot accept the fact there it is going to get scratches, especially with the materials they chose.......i'm sure they will be others coming out, so just be patient

Yeah, the iPod's design, though the ultimate in coolness, doesn't really lend itself easily to case designs. I was planning on getting JR Hill's offering with the thought that it was the only one available and hey, it doesn't look very good but it does the job in leather no less. Well, okay, it's just plain ugly.
I hope that Waterfield Designs can do a better job of it. I have one of their G4 Sleeves and a large cargo and LOVE THEM. I would take their designs over plain leather any day.

I like the JR hill's case only because it acts much like a cell phone case, I can still keep the iPod in the case and access the buttons and read the LCD screen. Hey, it's butt ugly, but It serves a purpose.
if the sleeve from waterfield is the same, I'll buy that, but for now, I will be placing my order for the JR Hill case as soon as they are released.
