It has a 5GB drive, 32 MB of RAM. Dual Processors. Nice hi-res LCD display. A ten-hour battery. Comes with games. Custom-built operating system. Firewire port.
No, it is not a laptop.
This, friends, is an MP3 player.
So really now, which is it? Pixo, the company that made the iPod's OS (as well as various cellphone OS's), also makes loads of PDA software. With the right modifications, it can be loaded
and run on an iPod. What are we going to see next?
An Apple PDA?
Or, perhaps the more appropriate question is,
Do we nearly already have one?
This is surely a sign. Apple might not tell you this, but the iPod already as support for all kinds of things that aren't used yet...CD burning, Infrared interface (which will mean effortless tranferring of songs from one iPod to another), and dozens of other things. The iPod is essentially a stripped-down PDA, and it definitely the most sophisticated--and practical-- MP3 player yet. I strongly urge everyone to tell Apple and everyone else how you feel!
This is surely a sign of greater things to come..
