Hi guys,

I seem to be having some problems with my Jaz. I've had my new G4 for about 6 weeks now and love it to bits. However last week I booted it only to find it freezing just after the desktop appears, cursor as well.

Eventually booting without extensions let me in and subsequently I have only been able to startup when the drive is wither off or disconnected. Anyone experienced anything similar.

I am running OS9.2.1. I have also tried a number of my cartidges in a friends Jaz (exact same model) and they work fine.

I am bloody confused! Any suggestions gratefully received.

what i would suggest first are the basics:

uninstall all jaz/iomega software.

download/install the NEWEST iomega software/driver/extension whatever for the 9.2 g4

check all connections, plugged in securely/clean

try mounting other iomega products if you have, like an old zip drive and see if that works

plug in your friend's jaz and see if it works. use your jaz cartridges. other wise, get a new jaz drive....having it repaired is not worth it
