I recently got a ATEM CS-104 Master View CPU Switch for PS/2 and PC AT.
I am sharing my Monitor with 2 computers only, one G3 266Mhz and one PIII. I dont have lot of space and I want to get rid of one keyboard. Its really a pain having two keyboards and switching the keyboard back and forward all the time. I have been looking for a Mac/PC Keyboard but I have never found one.
Is there any such device around?
I read a post over MacFixit that one guy was able to map the keys of an IBM keyboard by using resedit. Where can I find such info, I really need just one keyboard what are my options?
Thanks in Advanced.

Perhaps a USB card in each machine used in conjunction with a USB keyboard would be suitable?

I bought a windows USB/PS2 keyboard for my Pismo, because at $8 I can get six of them for the price of a genuine mac keyboard...
Anyway, I just use it with the useless 'windows' key as the command key, and Alt for option. No tinkering necessary.

I'd still like to know if there's a keyboard with two inputs, that's cheaper than a switch with USB and VGA, if such a thing even exists. I imagine it would be a pain to reach down and replug your keyboard every time you change the switch...
blackmail is such an ugly word. I prefer extortion. the X makes it sound cool

Its me again, I just want to share the following:
How to share a PC keyboard in a Mac with an old PS/2 KVM Switch.

After looking in hundreds of websites I finally decide to use a PC keyboard instead of my beige keyboard. The solution to my share problem was to buy a DuoConnect Card from Adaptec that cost around $99 to $120. This card will give you 3 USB 2.0 ports on Classic and on X will only be USB 1. Perhaps the USB you will have
2 Firewire ports ready to use. Its highly Compatible with Mac you can find it at www.adaptec.com/mac. For the PC Keyboard I pick the Natural Keyboard Pro, this is the coolest keyboard that I ever seen compatible for macs. The price of this keyboard is around $50 to $75 bucks and you can find it anywhere. Now, you must be asking what about the mouse? Well the Keyboard as two USB ports in the back, and I just hook up my Apple USB Optical mouse to it and works just fine. However, when I try to Force Quit the PC keyboard just died.
The other cool option of this keyboard is that have a Y split so you can use USB and PS/2 to your needs.
In the other hand, on my KVM Switch I bought 4 convertors from
PS/2 to USB for the minimal price of $4 dlls each. I think is much better than buy the PS/2 Extenders. So this is my final Set up:

KVM Switch of 4 PS/2 Ports.
Master Keyboard ( Natural Keyboard Pro) on Master Port via PS2.
Master Mouse (Microsot IntelliMouse), same thing with my mouse but instead of using the PS2 of the computer I'm using the USB connection , and one USB/PS2 Convertor to the KVM.

PC Side: I use two PS/2 Extenders from computer to KVM Switch.
Mac Side: I use One USB cable to the PS/2 Keyboard Port on KVM and attaching the mouse at the back of the keyboard. Why? Because I just like the apple mouse. You can also put another USB convertor in the KVM mouse port and hook it up into a USB port so you can use the Master Mouse.
I hope this help somebody out there looking for Mac/PC keyboard compatible in a KVM.
Too much toruble, but what can I say I love Macs
Best Regards

G3 266MHz connect it to the KVM switch via USB ( with PS2/Convertors)
