I just bought a lovely new G4, with the pro keyboard and pro optical mouse.

The mouse sides are all clear, no part is colored in any way, and outline for the halfmoon thumb cutouts are there, but the sides are smooth, with the same profile all the way down the edge.

Did I get a weird mouse? Does Apple make two versions of the pro mouse?

I reach for my mouse, and there's no place to grab it, because the grip indentions just aren't there.

Does anyone have the other version? does anyone have this version?
Thanks
Victor

That is strange, get a picture of it and post it. It should be looking like the one at www.apple.com/mouse
