Trying to cure a problem with my printer not liking to print anything in black. I've done the head cleaning etc that is on the software, I've also pulled the plastic piece that the ink wells sit in and cleaned it the best I could figure with q-tips and solution.
Can anyone give me further ideas or do I need to replace something. (besides the printer)

This exact same problem happened to me. i850 and no black. Pictures came out all yellow. Why the printer must use yellow when printing black and white I dont know (maybe to use up all those expense colour cartridges).

Anyway! I actually cant remember how I solved the problem. I may have upgraded to 10.3 from 10.2 or I might have just download a new set of drivers from Canon's website. I'm trying hard to remember what I did but it's not coming to me.

It's not the printer that's for sure.
