Hi
My iMac is officially dead unless I get my hands on a new power/analog board...
So for the time being I will be using a Windows laptop. I just purchased a big harddisk (320GB) and external case (firewire and USB2)..
I have three questions.
1) What would be the best partitioning scheme? ideally I want it readable and writeable on both PCs and Macs. Which means FAT32... file size limit of 4GB and problems with mac permissions...
So I think I will use both FAT32 and HFS+ but I have heard problems of getting them both on the disk... I cant decide what size to make each partition. The HFS+ partition is for data specific to macs.
2) Can you point me to some HFS+ drivers for windows? preferably free... I'll install these on my personal windows system so I can access the whole disk. Other windows systems will then only have access to the FAT32 partition.
3) Has there been any headway in getting write support for NTFS? I know OSX/Linux can *read* from NTFS. The problem being Microsoft refusing to open it up...
thanks!
