I was a Macworld today and asked the Epson folks about PostScript support. The demogogue said that you don't need PostScript unless you plan to do six-color printing or need to change paper layout.

He said that late-model Epson printers and their drivers will handle Quark files and output them correctly even with EPS files.

Is this true?

P.S. I liked the Epson Stylus Photo R1800 the best, because it also prints on CDs!

Well, Postscript has tons of advantages, one of them is that you always have a driver which runs on virtually all platforms.

I'd still feel safer with a Postscript pinter.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

OK, I will buy the R1800 with the iProof (http://www.iproofsystems.com/) PowerRIP, which now supports it and report back my findings.
