I am looking into buying a USB PCI Card for my 8500 soon and i am wondering if there are any USB 2.0 card out for Mac's yet or if anyone knows of any companies that plan to sell them in the near future.

In fact, there arn't any USB 2.0 cards out for anyone! Intel hasen't finished the design yet.

USB 2.0 dosen't offer any compelling reasons to use it instead of FireWire. I'm not going to say that USB 2.0 is horrible or anything - it's just that why use that in place of FireWire? Anyone, Intel?

By the time 2.0 is shipping FireWire will probably be twice as fast (up to 800Mbps).
