DVD-RW speed

	I own a 2.3 dual core Mac and it has an LG dvd drive. My machine does not tell me the speed of my drive and my internet search has told me that it could handle a 6x DVD-RW. However, when I went searching for media I found a Ritek DVD-RW that was 6X but the drive was not listed as being compatible with this media. Does anybody really know if my drive will work with this media?
