OK, so you know, this question is based aroun dputting a Mac in my vehicle... so....

The lowest resolution you can set your mac to is 640X480. So what happens when you use a TV output device to hook up your mac to a 6.5" LCD whose resolution is only 320X240? How does it show up?

Don't confuse RGB signals (like the monitor output) with tv signals. Once you have a tv signal, it's always the same frequency, no matter what the physical resolution of the screen is.

If you want to hook up your Mac to a tv, you need a gfx adapter with a tv output, or a portable Mac, which already has that built-in. ATI has some cheap cards with tv out.
