I've got an ipod, G4 Powerbook and itunes 2.2. The OS is 9.1 for reasons I'm not sure about. The problem I have is I have import my CDs into itunes and have them on my harddrive before I can transfer them to the ipod. Can the middle man not be missed out and the CD be encoded to MP3 on its way to the ipod???

Any help would be great thanks!!!!

Hi, don't have an answer, sorry, but do have a question? I have an imac 600 running 9.1 (as you do) and am using itunes1.1. Is it safe to say that you are having NO problems running itunes 2.2 and the ipod on your 9.1? Apple says we need 9.2 and I don't want to change, too many problems. Also, did you have to download anything else such as firmware or uthoring support updates? Many thanks. I'd like to buy an ipod but am not sure it will work.

Thanks
