Share Monitor-not KVM?

I'd like to share a monitor between my powerbook & my wife's windows desktop. I know about KVM's & will use one if need be, but my question is, are there KVM type devices that only share a monitor. I don't really want the extra cables for the mouse/keyboard/ speakers/etc. A Monitor-only KVM would be much 'cleaner" if such a device exists.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Mark

Try a video switch. Or if you're in the market for a new screen, Dell's FP LCDs have multiple inputs you can switch between (or use PiP/PbP).

Thanks for the quick reply. That looks like it'll do the trick.

I'm puzzled. How does having two different mice and keyboards look "cleaner" than having cables from a KVM connect to the backs of two different computers?

mduell's suggestion will work, but it's not optimal. This is precisely what KVMs are for...

If he uses the PowerBook's built in keyboard and trackpad that's 2 less sets of cables (Powerbook<->KVM and KVM<->KM) on the desk.

I glided right over the mention of the PowerBook. I still can't get used to people not using the shift key; it makes it harder to pick out important stuff. Yeah... that's the ticket! That's why I missed it! (oops....)
