I have 266Mhz Beige G3 (Rev A) w/288MB Mem. I am getting ready to buy a Belkin Firewire/USB 2.0 PCI card for it. I have verified support for mac 9.x and they said they will have support for X.1 later. My question is will the Sony TVR230 Digital 8 camera I am buying be recognizable by iMovie when I get everything hooked up. I am buying these items to support each other and if it won't work that way I don't want them.

Any help is appreciated.

I am also getting a ram upgrade, hello 512MB!

I don't know about that card, but I have the same computer with an Orange Micro FW/USB card and my Sony works great in iMovie, Adobe Premiere, and Final Cut Pro, as do my VST and LaCie hard drives. My card is older, so it isn't USB 2.0, but Orange's site lists OS X compatibility for the new one. You can check out the card at: http://www.orangemicro.com/fwusb20.html

Thanks for the reply. I often have a hard time getting people to reply to my questions. It sounds as though I will have a winning combo, Xpecially one X.1 is here.

Thanks!
