I have two computers, a G4 with USB and a G3 with serial (beige). I know this might sound stupid, but would the printer (epson 740i) allow me to plug in the appropriate port to each computer, using the printer on both computers? Feel free to insult me , I'm just wondering.

another "yup."

I'm currently doing this between a g4 and a compaq laptop. The only problem I have is when I use the printer on the mac after using it on the compaq, you have to turn the printer off, then on again to "reset" itself.

My 740 has a PC plugged in via parallel, a PM5500 via serial, and a G4 via USB.

Gotta love it
