I have tried to transfer a large amount of songs to my iPod in iTunes 2.02 on OS X 10.1.1. I have used both the manual method and the automatic method. Lets say there are about 800 songs, the iPod starts transferring but about halfway through (350-400 songs) the transfer hangs and I get the spinning OS X beachball icon. I have to force quit and restart the machine before I can use iTunes again. When I look at how many songs have successfully been transferred it is about 100 songs less than where it was up to when it hung.

OS X 9.2.1 works fine with no hangs, so it looks likeI will have to boot back into it if I want to transfer a large amount of tracks at once, very frustrating. Anyone got any idas, or experienced similar. I am running an iBook Dual USB.

Richard
