I would recommend any by Logitech as well. I am using their cordless optical trackman fx and it is fantastic. It even has an adjustable, detachable wrist pad which is a great little quirk

I have really loved my Kensignton Orbit and would highly recommend it- very comfortable for extended periods. I have had mine for almost 3 years now.
cheers

Kensington TurboMouse is by far the best, IMO.

I use both a Logitech Trackman at work and a Kensington Orbit at home.

I prefer the centered design of the orbit as opposed to the thumb-operated design of the logitech.

When I'm using the Orbit, I miss the scroll wheel from the Logitech.

I think Kensington products are better built - the Logitech has a retainer ring over the ball that prevented the ball from rolling freely. I just removed it.

I think Kensignton have a trackball with some kind of circular scroll wheel round the ball (a la iPod). I'm thinking about upgrading to that one.

Either will serve you well, I guess. Logitech doesn't support OSX as Kensington do.

Yeah, Kensington supports Mac OS X pretty well, which made me decided to support their products, even though the Wireless Turbomouse Pro was ~120 dollars. But when you buy this trackball, I was justified with the price. Very solid materials, and a five year warranty.

I'm in the market for a trackball as well. I've mainly been looking the Kensington Orbit or TurboBall. However, Macally's optical trackball looks quite intriguing. Has anyone tried this Macally product and does anyone know if OS X is supported?

Logitech will work in OSX you just can't configure the buttons yet which is a bit of a pain.

Kensington Orbit for me. Quite happy with it in OS 9 and X.

I'm a fan of the Kensington TurboMouse (the wired version, as I don't see the point of a wireless trackball). I've been using one since I had a IIsi, and haven't looked back once.

I am also a fan of the Kensington Turbo Mouse Pro....comfortable to use and native X software...can't ask for much more than that.
