I have an iMac DV [model of 1999] running OS9.2.1 and i just got am ISDN modem that is connected to the USB port of the computer through a USB to serial converter. At the beggining it was writing me that some software was necessary for the converter and after some searching in the internet i found the driver. The converter is a USC-1000 and the modem is the netmod of the company intracom. When i try to connect after selecting the USBconverter in the “connect via” menu in the modem control panel and the right script the computer doesn t even dial the number, but is always telling me to check the connections etc. When i open the system profiler i see the converter listed there connected to the USB port, but nothing else. Shouldn t the modem be listed after the converter? I will call the manufacturer on Monday, till then any help is appreciated. [i do not know if it is important but in order to connect the USB to Serial converter with the serial port of the modem i used a gender changer]
Thank you for your help in advance,
Bezbozny.
