..so I'm listening to my iPod plugged into my speakers, and it just shut of. Dead. Hmm.. must be the battery. So I plugged it in overnight (tried charging with FireWire AND the power cord) expecting it to work in the morning. Nope, still dead. It won't mount as a FireWire drive, nothing. Please help, I'm loving this thing but right now it's apaper weight.

thanks for any reply!

I read somewhere that the iPod has a reset feature. If something like what you described happens you can reset the unit somehow but I don't have one. Try support.
