Agfa I'll always remember you as my first.... kernel panic.

I installed Fotolook 3.6X for OS X.1 today (including Fotolook, Agfa f40 FireWire installer, and f40 profile). So what does it do for me? The software quit after the preview scan, and once when I unplugged the scanner (because it was unrecognized) I got some nice Unix text all over my nice shiny iBook 600 OS X.1.1 screen. Yuck.

I have not had good luck with Agfa drivers, and I wonder if that's one of the reasons they've exited this part of the business.

1) Agfa 1212U ScanWise NEVER worked for me with Windows 2000 Pro, even after a couple of updates. I eventually sold it for about half of what I paid for it.
2) Agfa f40 FotoLook (PC USB) only worked after several updates and a complete reinstall of Windows 2000 Pro, despite the fact the install was already fairly new.
3) Agfa f40 FotoLook (Mac FireWire) doesn't work and gives my iBook seizures.

I'm gonna delete the FotoLook folder from the iBook. One of the installed pieces actually required an installer though - the .pkg file is located within the folder. Does this mean it will be deleted too, or does it mean I'm still going to have FotoLook gremlins still lurking about my drive? I want no part of that driver screwing up my FireWire.

I think I'll just stick with my Epson 1640SU Photo in Classic.
