Ok that new firewire webcam driver is out - so which of the supported cams works the best?

* ADS 1394 PYRO WebCam
* AME Vcam(tm) IEEE 1394 (FireWire) PC Camera CF-2000
* Aplux 1394 PC Camera - C102T
* Aplux 1394 PC Camera - C104T
* FirewireDirect DV WebCam
* iREZ StealthFire(tm)
* iREZ KritterDIGITAL(tm)
* Orange Micro iBOT(tm) FireWire Video Camera
* Unibrain Fire-i Digital Camera
* Unibrain Fire-i400 Industrial Camera

I went and checked out the specs on most of these cams (ruled out the pyro and iBot - as they are first generation firewire cams and there are newer/better ones out now) ... so does anyone actually own one of these and can vouch for it?

My new Sharp VL-WD255U DV camera ($350 at Amazon) works in both OS X and OS 9 as a Firewire web cam using Oculus and SiteCam. Not exactly the news you were looking for but I thought I would pass it along - it surprised me!

I've actually thought about getting a snazzy digital camera (so this is good to know) ... but yeah I'm really trying to find a portable firewire webcam. I did some searches through this forum for the topic and found a few answers, but most of the content was a year old - I was hoping for some updated responses.

thanks though!
