Hi. I'm thinking of buying a USB CD-RW drive to use with my rev. A iMac. I went browsing today at Circuit City and I'm considering the Pacific Digital drive, speeds are 4x4x8, 2MB buffer.
Since I've never heard of this brand before, I wonder if anyone has experiences with this drive.
I'm also considering Lacie USB CD-RW, but I can't find it at CC or Best Buy. I want to just pick the Pacific Digital's up if its quality is comparable to Lacie's.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I just bought an imation 4x4x6 usb cdrw drive today.
It cost me $380 AUS (approx $190 US).
Its a great drive. So far Ive burnt 5 cds on it, 4 audio and 1 data without a problem.
It will only do audio at 2x, but the data is reliable at 4x.
It seems to be a very stable drive. I had no trouble multi-tasking whilst burning (ie netscape, acrobat, word), which is something new to me, as on pc's i have had with scsi burners burns would always fail if you interrupted them with other tasks.
Firewire is better than usb, but at this price, this particular drive is awesome if you are not too worried about speed.
Highly recommended! (check out www.imation.com for details).
