OK what I really want is a PCI Video card with a TV tuner and FM tuner built in, no DVD support or anything like that. I found some USB tv/fm tuners, but USB isn't fast enough, there no way the image quality is that good. ATi's All in wonder has no FM, but it has a video card and a tv tuner together, no to mention i could use the RCA outputs. Does this card work with mac? I'm confused about drivers for video cards, does each card need its own drivers, or does ati's own drivers work with all thier cards? and what about X? I'm on X now and would like such a device for this computer.

I'm pretty sure All-in-Wonders are for PCs only. I have one and I tried to make it work on my G4 with no success. Even though it's a regular PCI card, there are no Mac drivers for it. I also recall hearing that Mac and PC video cards have an important difference.
I know ATI offers something called XClaim TV that seems to be a nice TV tuner, but I don't think it has a video card incorporated.
Check ATI . I'm sure you'll find something that suits your needs.
Hey, in case you guys know some "technique" to make the All-In_Wonders wonk on Macs, don't hesitate. Just Post'em!

Hope I could help.

I just saw another topic with the same issue. If you have a tower you might consider the Formac.

I have considered teh formac, becuase I want a Digitizer, but thats seperate, I also want a second monitor, a cheap one with a cheap video card, adn i though why not get a slightly older card that has TV tuner on it too. I guess i'm going to end up getting a plain old video card and a Studio later. Another thing about the studio is that it costs more than another digitizer out there that while not nearly as pretty, is said to digitize much better than the formac.
