Which is a better value as a display to go with my new Quicksilver 733? I do mostly digital photos web surfing, e-mail, and some iMovie.

When I got my cube I thought about buyuing the 15" display but the 800x600 res was too small to do most of my work on especially as I was used to a 17" screen.. I guess comes down to what are you used to?
I went for the 17" studio display as a temp solution. I have now switched to the new 17"LCD and it is awesome. If you can afford it I would definitely go for it - how long will you be happy using a 15" display before you start to yern after the 17".

the 17" gives you 67% more screen realestate, taking resolution differences into account. And it is priced accordingly. One it not necessarily a better value than the other.

I have the 17" LCD hooked up to my Dual 800. The screen is really impressive. Very sharp colors and the clarity is great. No blurring or ghosting when playing games. I've seen the 17" beside a 15" and there is no comparison. The 15" is so much smaller. If you can afford it, go for the 17". I'm very pleased with mine.

Yeah, about those TPS reports, didn't you get the memo?

Same here with my DP800. I love it! My wife thinks the 17" monitor is the best part of our new setup. Ask your self this question: Can you put a price on your eyesight? Buy the best you can afford.

Um that is 1024 x 768.
I have both monitors. If you have a 17' opposed to the 15 iMovie is not one bit better.
IF all you do is surf, email and the occational picture then the 15" is more then enough.
I do high end work on it all day in Photoshop and I wouldn't mind the 17" sometimes, but it is not needed.
What it comes down to is the 17" better but do you want to spend that money for something you don't NEED?
