I am currently running a backup of my hard drive using 8X RW DVD's. How can I tell what speed my drive is operating at?

Divide 60 minutes by how long it takes to burn a full disk.

When I was burning the disk I was using the backup software from Apple. The disk is a 8X + RW.

Does the software give you the option at what speed to burn? Is there a "Best" option. If so if you have an 8x disk and your Drive can burn at that speed than that is what you were burning at.

The you have to assume the software will burn it as fast as the drive and the media can support. How long does one DVD take?
