I'm looking for a Satellite TV-compatible DVR for the Mac. Specifically, I am looking for a North America Satellite TV-compatible DVR-- which would work with Dish Network and Direct TV, for instance. Are there any?

Not sure which protocols/specs the networks you mention use - but if they're DVB-S then you could try iTele - the only problem with its implementation is that it doesn't support CAM modules (i.e. no support for encrypted channels.)
