I plan to exchange my iMac's superdrive with a Plextor 40x CDR, because I burn more CDs than DVDs....
But does my superdrive still work with iDVD when i build it into an external FW-Case ???
and does it look good ?? anyone done that before ???

There is supposedly a hack out there that let's iDVD work with external drives, but by default, iDVD will only recognize internals. You might be better off putting your new drive in the enclosure and leaving the SuperDrive internal. That won't hurt your performance.
