I recently purchased a used 17" adc crt, the clear one. There seems to be a bit of dust and things on the inside of the case near the front of the monitor. I would like to get this dust out.

What is the procedure for removing the casing? Is it just a matter of removing the screws around the monitor? Any hidden screws or tricks?

Thanks for any help!

I'm not sure how to get inside, but once you do, be careful because there are capacitors inside that hold a high voltage, even after the monitor has been powered off.

I've been looking at mine and i "Think" that you should be able to get the shell off by unscrewing the allen head screws on the top, side and bottom....shell should just slide off.

I'm not familiar with the display in question, but in general, the back is easily removable, while the tube is mounted on the front of the case, if this goes for the ADC display, I'd leave it dirty, removing the tube is a very risky business, the tube is where all the charge is (not capacitors, though there are nasty ones in a monitor, they should lose their charge within a day or so.)
If the dust is loose though, you should buy an air duster, it will easily blow out any dust that might be in there, and it comes in handy for cleaning dust from cards, and power supplies, etc.
