The newly posted Griffin iMate driver destoys the system. You can't shut down, you can't start up, only the blue screen is there.

Go to versiontracker and you'll note every single user who's installed this today has found themselves furious and unable to fix their systems. My G4 is shot. I'm writing this from my Powerbook.

What kind of idiots at Griffin Technology tested this driver - and what morons then had the gall to release it?

I can't find any information on how to remedy this complete system destruction. Unbelievable!

For anyone who's found this problem (it's now posted on all major Mac sites and over 1,000 folks downloaded this yesterday and found themselves in the same boat) here's what FINALLY got my system back:

1. Boot in via OS 9 CD.

2. Delete loginwindow.plist file in the Library/Preferences folder

3. Restart the computer and when the OS X progress window starts hit Shift which bypasses the login preferences.

4. There are still a few invisible imate files there but don't know how to get ride of invisible ones. Any thoughts?

I'm furious at the Griffin morons who are responsible for this!
