I just bought one of these today. But now that I read "iMac/DV, G3/G4," on the outside of the box, I can't tell if this means iMac AND iMac/DV, or just iMac/DV. I'm waiting for an e-mail reply from QPS to find out whether or not this will work with my 333MHz iMac. Anybody out there know about this?

Word of warning: Don't hold your breath waiting for a response from QPS. You'll die.

The drive will work on your machine. Remember to burn audio at 2X instead of 4X or you will make toasters (even with a HUGE RAM buffer).

Good to hear that it will work, but I get the impression that this is a love it or hate it company. Is there an alternative drive you'd suggest?

Another thing about the Que - I was stunned to see a minimum requirement of 128MB RAM. Is that because of Toast, or just the buffer the Mac wants - because the min PC requirement was 64MB.

The QPS was my first CD-RW, and I am in fact very happy with it. I've just read a lot of negative posts about the company since discovering this site. In my reading, I've read good things about Yamaha drives, and mostly negative from QPS and Sony users.
