I'm lookin g for a USB camera that has a good quality to it. Many of my family members have Logitech QuickCams. They SUCK! The QUailty is so low, I want someone that has a bit higher quaility and is mac compatible, logitech has abandoned the mac, those bastards!

No USB cams are ever going to be that great really.. As they use compression to squeeze everything through USB. I have a USB Kritter, which is ok and comes with good software. But they are over priced... For half the money I then bought a Philips Vesta, which is better quality all round. And has a built in mic. Not so good software tho. But then software like iVisit (ivisit.com) is free from the net anyway. I am told the 3com cams are good too, although i've not tried them.

If you have a FireWire equiped Mac, then FireWire web cams are now available too for not that much more money than a good USB cam. Quaility should be MUCH better.

Well fireiwre really isn't an option, but how about this. Everyone who has a web cam, can you post sample images in this topic, so i can see the differences in quailty. Like this Vesta camera. Post an image or two from it, or even a movie

I would, only I have no where to host it. Besides.. Still pictures will generally be pretty good quality up to around 640/480 res. But for movies, frame rates etc will vary.
