Hey All...

I have two Dell 1905FP LCD's and want them to be calibrated the same. Right now they have two distinct colors hues. The problem I am having is that 1 is attached to a ATI Rage 128 (16mb) VGA PCI card while the other is attached to a GForce FX5200 (64MB) AGP DVI/ADC card using the DVI port.

Now... The GForce recognizes the display right away... and calibrated it... and locked it so I can make adjustements. The ATI doesn't recognize the display, and I have tried to calibrate it on my own... but I can't get it to look good.

So... do I suck it up and buy a DVI/ACD adapter and have both running off my GForce card, or is there a way to calibrate the second monitor like the first?

I'd recommend you stop calibrating by eye and try out a calibrator. They are increasingly cheap as digital photography progresses as proper calibtration is important. There are quite a few out there, I like the Gretag Macbeth (Eye One Display 2 is inexpensive if you only need to profile monitors). If you require a calibrated monitor because you are outputting (for professional use), then a calibtrator is a must (if accuracy is important). But if it is to increase the viewing experience, calibtrating to eye and buying the adapter you mention is probably a little cheaper.
