I am interested in this controller from MacAlly, since it is only $30 from CompUSA. Also, it will be a nice addition to the Pismo PB I'm getting, and for those frag sessions at work.

I know this thing was made for use with Connectix Virtual Game Station (since it is basically a PSX controller). What are your experiences with it? I'd like to use it in CVGS as well as Quake and other games.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

hey bighead -

It's really a great controller. I've used it pretty much exclusively with CVGS, and it has great responsiveness and a solid feel.

I originally purchased one of those cheap Gravis Gamepad Pro controllers at a local Fry's Electronics. To be perfectly honest, it feels like a plastic baby toy -- it's only missing the rattle!

I'm not much for the Quake series, but it works great with Madden. It even comes with software to adjust the sensitivity of the directional buttons (so that Steve Young won't just slowly move out of the pocket -- I can adjust him to "get a move on" almost immediately!).
Hope this helps.

The MacAlly iShocks are great controllers, I have 2 myself. I mainly use them with the NES and SNES emulators on my iMac. They work flawlessly with 2 player mode. It's great to be able to play all the classics (Contra, Double Dragon 2, Kirby's Dream Course, Battle Toads, ect.) without having to use a keyboard.

Slick shoes?!! Are you crazy?!!
