Hi All,
I have been reading reports on Usenet about a flaw in the
Epson 1600 scanner. Recently, I have been experiencing
this flaw of multi-colored vertical lines. Epson knows
about the flaw, but remains silent (said it does not
recommend scanning with the lid up). All the magazine
reviews I have read on the 1600 gave impressive reviews,
but non mentioned the flaw. One just can't trust these
magazines anymore. For $1200 it's a damn shame.

Open your Epson 1600 lid, keep the lid up, and make a scan
of the glass area into Photoshop and you will the
multi-colored vertical lines. Does anyone here with
Espon 1600 have this problem?

Anthony
