Hi Y'all,

Is it true that it is not wise to put the cable modem and the netgear router next to each other. Someone has told me to put them at least 3 feet apart. If so, can someone explain to me why? Thanks in advance.

I just stack them all on top of each other. As long as each device is getting adequate ventilation, I don't think it makes a bit of difference how close they are.

Networking questions go in the Networking forum.

In any case, the warning given to you is total nonsense.
