Hi,
I am interested in speakers (3-piece) for my new G4. The consensus is that Monsoons absolutely rock and that the sounsticks are just so-so. Has anyone used the monsoons or have actually compared them? Is there any other contender besides these 2 brands that I should know about? How does the monsoons connect to a G4? I don't have my G4 yet and heard that Apple has a new jack for speakers G4. Will monsoons work on a 533 MP?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I too am getting a G4, and the question of what kind of audio jack is applicable. I have some older speakers that would work fine on it for my folks. On my G3, I have some Monsoon MM-700s, and have no found anything that comes even close to the sound quality of these babies.
P.S., here is the Audio specs from http://www.apple.com/powermac/specs.html - Apple speaker minijack (16 bit) for connection to Apple Pro Speakers
- Headphone jack (16 bit)
- Support for external third-party FireWire and USB digital audio peripherals such as microphones, speakers, and MIDI devices

200$ Klipsch promedia 2.1 system, can't be beaten for 2.1 sound (at this price point). Get a wowthing or a soundcard for better sound or wait for a soundblaster or the firewire based mLan...
