Has anyone here had any positive or negative experiences with ViewSonic flat panels and their mac? I am thinking of getting the ViewSonic VG-181 TFT display and cannot find a merchant with a floor model to get a good grasp of the monitor and I was going to buy online. Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Have ViewSonic Vp150 and bought Samsung 170t two months ago. It is significantly better than the VP150 (which is very good) in just about every respect; PCWorld rated monitors in one of the last two or three issues. The price is right on the Samsung 170t-$1125 if you can find one in stock.

I'll second the rave revue for the Samsungs. I'm using the SyncMaster 770 TFT 17" and it's gorgeous. My Dad has a Dell (he's dead to me) desktop with a nice CRT 19" and always bragged about the quallity of the picture. After seeing my Samsung he's very quiet. What we have here is a serious case of monitor envy. I'm getting him one for father's day.
